Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryOLIVE BETSY MCQUARRIE October 17, 1921 - November 15, 2009 Olive is survived by her husband and life partner of 66 years, whom she married on June 24, 1943. She is also survived by her four sons, Bill, Gerry, Ted, Bob, one daughter Linda, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mom and Dad met during the Second World War, while mom was serving as a messenger in the British Army. They married and started their new life in Canada. Mom spent her career at Olympic Industries in Winnipeg as a seamstress and pattern maker. She enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, playing bingo and walks to the Grant Park Mall with her many grandchildren. The family would like to thank Beth a member of the Fort Garry Legion, who out of the kindness of her heart, took a total stranger, our mother, to bingo faithfully until her arrival at Deer Lodge Centre. We would like to thank the staff of Tower 6 at Deer Lodge Centre for the passionate care they have shown our mother. They have made the last one and a half years a home for her. Olive was the last surviving member of the Huggins family of London England. Her husband Bill says Good Night Ollie. A celebration of life will take place Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home 1291 McGillivray Blvd. Thomson In the ParK 925-1120 Condolences may be sent to www.thomsoninthepark.com
